Vase Stellato

designer Pollio Perelda
1959
H 35 cm

The Stellati vases are original designs by Pollio Perelda. Several lines of them were made during the 1960s, limited editions that differed from each other in the murrina stellata used and the way these were worked in the making of the vases. This Stellato vase belongs to the first series crafted in the 1950s: each murrina resembles a colored star and, juxtaposed with each other, they create a unique piece that is colorful but it also results as light and elegant thanks to the transparency of the murrinas. The rays of the murrine are not geometrically regular, they curve as if they were swirls giving even more movement and sinuosity to this design.
