Vase Kiku

designer Ermanno Toso
1955
H 37 cm

The Kiku murrina recalls the motif of a stylized flower and is one of the most representative designs of Ermanno Toso's work. First designed in the 1950s, it has since been declined in many shapes and colors, each edition representative of a particular year of production. A lightweight vase, the texture of the murrine is perfectly appreciable on a tactile level by caressing the surface. The blue and dark blue colors of the murrines chosen for this vase make it an elegant work with a very sinuous visual impact. The chosen kiku murrines are juxtaposed and fused together with incredible skill by the master glassmaker, without any distortion.
