Nerox Pittorico
Designer Pollio Perelda
1964
H 28 cm
Nerox is a particular black oxide used by Fratelli Toso since the early 1950s; it was chosen for many designs until the late 1960s. Pollio Perelda also chose to use Nerox for some of its designs; in this playful vase with a distinctive shape Perelda adds regular color drippings at the bottom. These are glass drippings added to the surface that remain well in relief. Paint drippings running downward, colored pencils, elements that downplay the nerox color and create a fun, different and innovative work. A different, painterly style, an innovative interpretation of traditional Fratelli Toso working techniques.
