FRATELLI TOSO 170th

Founded in 1854 by six brothers of the Toso “Cangioro” family, Fratelli Toso has spanned over a century and a half of Murano’s history, always preserving the familial character that has defined its origins.
From a glassmaking furnace, the company has today evolved into an exhibition space that houses an extensive collection of artistic glassworks produced throughout the 20th century, along with a rich historical archive.
In 2024, on the occasion of its 170th anniversary, Fratelli Toso celebrates this important milestone with a retrospective exhibition dedicated to its most significant 20th-century artistic production, enriched by previously unseen archival materials.
The exhibition retraces the history of the glassworks, with particular focus on one of its greatest technical and creative achievements: the murrina.
The display unfolds across two complementary yet profoundly different spaces: Spazio Fornace, now transformed into an exhibition venue that retains the original atmosphere of production, and Casa Rosanna, an intimate and creative environment where memory and innovation meet.
