The Fratelli Toso Archive preserves the traces of more than a century and a half of activity at the furnace, documenting the history of its production through different, often closely interconnected materials.

Its holdings include more than 30,000 object models and approximately 3,000 lighting models. Original full-scale 1:1 drawings are accompanied by numbered miniature drawings and corresponding numbered photographic plates. The collection also includes special drawings created for exhibitions, displays and bespoke commissions.

The Archive also preserves the original glass photographic negatives, catalogues produced for internal use as well as sales catalogues intended for clients, together with administrative records, meeting minutes, orders and correspondence.

It is still a living archive, currently being studied and organised. Back to the Roots exceptionally opens its doors, presenting a selection of these materials in the very place where they are preserved.
